I was born Jeremiah James
Farchik on 3-30-76 in Whittier California. People often call me Miah for short.
I am a Dutch/German dude. I currently live in Ontario but will be moving asap
for obvious reasons. I have two Doberman Pinschers named Allura and Chloe (the
best dogs ever). I collect Voltron toys (popular 80's cartoon/action figures).
I love radio controlled toys and high powered rocketry. I'm 6' 3" and my
favorite color is orange. Besides making music in Yes Dear, I
also enjoy recording and producing music for other bands. If you have a band and
want to record, contact
me and let me know! I also enjoy creating web sites (I did this one).
BEFORE YES DEAR:
Well to make a long story short, I'm one of those people where music
just came to me naturally. At the age of 13 my friends and I decided we wanted
to start a band and I thought it would be fun to play the drums. We named our
band Ribbed. Yeah, a lame name, but what do you expect from some young kids. We
got pretty good though and started doing shows with bands like the Vandals. Well
as we grew up, Ribbed broke up. I started playing drums in a band with some other
local friends. We called ourselves Valhalla. That band was fun, but didn't last
long either. I got a call from a music A/R guy that thought I should try out for
an orange county band called Teen Heroes. After hearing the bands demos, I knew
I was the drummer for them. This band got pretty popular and did shows with bands
like Phantom Planet, Eve 6, Ozma, Reel Big Fish, Maroon 5 (Kara's Flowers), and
They Might Be Giants! Somehow or another, a video of ours even made it's way on
to MTV. Well, here again, this band fell apart too. I then started playing the
guitar and singing in a band called the Diligents. The Diligents didn't do much,
but it was fun for me to be playing the guitar in a band. Next (and not the last),
I started playing drums in a band called Modern Memory (formerly called Grand).
This band has a unique sound and did shows with bands like Hot Hot Heat. Well,
after playing with this band for about a year and forever never getting our CD
done, I decided to move on. Last, but definitely not least, here I am playing
drums in Yes Dear. This band is rad and I truly hope this is
the last band I ever play in. No I don't mean I won't play anymore if the band
breaks up. I just really hope this band never breaks up!
