NEWS | Jan 17, 2007 | Yes Dear is back! As you may have known, Ryen and Jose recently reformed their band Ozma, so they are doing that full time now. Happy to replace them, please welcome Simon and Whitney to the band. Go to the contact page and let them know they are welcomed! We are happy to be back and ready to rock once again. We are currently writing and rehearsing new songs for shows and a new CD. We will of course keep you posted. See you soon! | Jul 16, 2006 | Sorry for the lack of tunes (both recorded and live). As you probably already know, Ryen and Jose are no longer part of the Yes Dear team. They have decided to focus their efforts on reforming their old band. Nate and myself have decided to do what we can to keep the tunes flowing. We currently have many new songs we are working with and hope to start recording them as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience during the last few months as we try to get the ball rolling again. Thanks from behind the kit. -Miah | Jan 14, 2006 | Yes, the rumors are true, and now it's official, Ozma is back!!! Check out filtermag.com for details. Does this mean the end of Yes Dear? No. Does this mean the lineup will change? Well, yes. Ryen and Jose are gonna do Ozma full time, so the new lineup will be: Nate Greely- guitar, vocals Jeremiah James- drums Shmedly- bass You already know Nate and Miah, and many of you probably know Shmedly from Arlo, The Electrolites, and his studio work with Ozma, The Elected, and some other fancy rock stars. So that's that. No fistfights or namecalling I'm afraid. I'll miss those guys, but I'm as big an Ozma fan as anybody, so I'm pretty excited, too. It was fun to play a small venue like that. In contrast, we have just booked a FREE SHOW at the much bigger Key Club on August 9th. We just finished up three new songs in the studio. The first to be released is called "Waking The Dead". We auditioned bass players, but no one could quite fill Marty's shoes. We have decided to continue as a four piece, with Nate now playing bass. To even our surprise, the songs still sound great. Hope to see you there. *Yes Dear* | Jun 05, 2005 | Dear Yes Dear Fans, I'm happy to report that we've been getting a lot of good work done lately. Nate and I have been finishing vocal tracks for a few songs you may have heard us play at our shows. We'll be sure to post those on this site as soon as they sound sufficiently rad. The station didn't record it but thankfully some of you did. You can find links to MP3s of the performance in our Online Community page. Coming up on teh 24th we will perform live on the radio from Chapman College. | Jan 28, 2005 | The Tshirts store is up and the orders are rolling in. Thanks to everyone who got one. The Yes Dear Spain tour has been postponed til May, but there may be some March dates in NorCal and San Diego. We'll give you specific dates when we have them. We finished tracking the new songs, but Billy has to go out of town for a week, so we'll mix them when he gets back.
